Click image to download Movie Tracker enables you to keep a database of the movies you own or rented on a Palm OS PDA. Designed to keep track of a movie collection at your fingertips. Handy when shopping to see if you already own a title.

View the items by genre and see total by genre.

Each record can store notes if desired.

This program is freeware. Enjoy!

This program utilizes several libraries to perform it's functions. If you wish to share this application with a friend you will have to give them the installer program to install on their PDA. Once they have the program and all libraries you can beam the movie database back and forth to each other.

Installing:

Hotsync the MovieTkr Installer.prc file to your PDA.

You will see an icon called InstMovie in the PDABruce category.

Select this icon to install and launch Movie Tracker. Several files will be extracted from the archive and the archive will delete itself.

Movie Tracker will automatically run once the installer has completed.

When you exit the program you will see the Movie Tracker program icon.

Prior to installing

After installing

The first screen that appears is the View All screen.

Select the Edit button to add/edit enter a new movie. Once you have some movies entered they will display on this screen.

Select a movies in the list to edit/delete the entry.

Select a genre type from the drop down list at the top of the screen to view only movies of that type.

Select the Fmt button to view movies by different media types.

Select the Acq button to view movies by how you aquired them.

The Add/Edit screen is where you enter your movies.

Before entering any movies you need to set up genre and your acquired from list.

Select the appropriate Edit button to add/edit these items. (see below)

Once you have these items entered, return to this screen and start entering your movies.

Tap the New button and fill out the screen.

The Title field is where you enter the movie title.

Select the Down Arrow in the Acquired from field to select a how you obtained this movie. These items must be previously set up.

Select the Down Arrow in the Genre field to select what type of movie this is. These items must be previously set up.

Enter notes if you choose by tapping the More button to bring up the Note Editor.

Select the Down Arrow in the Format field to select the format of movie. These items must be previously set up.

Use:

  • |< - to view first record
  • < - to view previous record
  • New - to create a new record
  • > - to view the next record
  • >| - to view the last record
  • Del - to delete the current record
  • All - to display all records
  • Edit - to add/edit acquired from/genre/format types or pop-up the numeric editor

You can delete the entire database by selecting Delete All from the Options menu of this screen.

You can export the database to the Memo Pad application by selecting Export Memo from the Options menu of this screen.

You can beam your movie database to another PDA running Movie Tracker by selecting Beam Databse from the Options menu of this screen.

The Enter Acquired From screen allows you to add/edit values you will use to show how you obtained the movie.

Use:

  • New - to add a new value
  • Edit - to change a value
  • Del - to delete a value
  • Sort - will sort the values in ascending order, tapping the sort a second time will sort the values in descending order
  • Up/Down - to move a value up or down in the list
  • Done - to return to the previous screen
Enter Acquired From

The Enter Genre screen allows you to add/edit values you will use to categorize your movies.

Use:

  • New - to add a new value
  • Edit - to change a value
  • Del - to delete a value
  • Sort - will sort the values in ascending order, tapping the sort a second time will sort the values in descending order
  • Up/Down - to move a value up or down in the list
  • Done - to return to the previous screen
Enter Genre

The By Format screen is similar to the View All screen.

Use this view to see movies by media type.

Tap the All button to return to the View All screen.

Tap the Acquired button to go to the View by Acquired screen.

View by Format

The By Acquired screen is similar to the View All screen.

Use this view to see movies by how you received them.

Tap the All button to return to the View All screen.

Tap the Format button to go to the View by Format screen.

View by Acquired

The Search screen is similar to the View All screen.

Use this view to search your movie database. Enter the title or part of the title and tap the Find It button. Note: The search is case sensitive.

Tap the All button to return to the View All screen.
