Click image to download Music Tracker enables you to keep a database of the music you own or loaned on a Palm OS PDA. Designed to keep track of a music collection at your fingertips. Handy when shopping to see if you already own a title.

View the items by genre or artist and see total by genre or artist.

Each record can store notes if desired.

Installing:

Hotsync the MusicTrk Installer.prc file to your PDA.

You will see an icon called InstMusic in the PDABruce category.

Select this icon to install and launch Music Tracker. Several files will be extracted from the archive and the archive will delete itself.

Music Tracker will automatically run once the installer has completed.

When you exit the program you will see the Music Tracker program icon.

Prior to installing

After installing

The first screen that appears is the View All screen.

Select the Edit button to add/edit enter a new title. Once you have some titles entered they will display on this screen.

Select a title in the list to edit/delete the entry.

Select a genre type from the drop down list at the top of the screen to view only music of that type.

Select the Arts button to view titles by artist.

You can change the color of the rows being displayed in the table by selecting Set Row Color from the Themes menu of this screen.

Filtered View

The Add/Edit screen is where you enter your music titles.

Before entering any titles you need to set up artist, genre, acquired from and format lists.

Select the appropriate edtbut (1K) button to add/edit these items. (see below)

Once you have these items entered, return to this screen and start entering your movies.

Tap the New button and fill out the screen.

The Title field is where you enter the music title.

Select the Down Arrow in the Artist field to select a whoe recorded this music. These must be previously set up.

Select the Down Arrow in the Acquired from field to select a how you obtained this music. These items must be previously set up.

Select the Down Arrow in the Genre field to select what type of music this is. These items must be previously set up.

Select the Down Arrow in the Format field to select what type of media this is. These items must be previously set up.

Enter notes if you choose by tapping the notbut (1K) icon to bring up the Note Editor.

Enter what you paid for this title in the Cost field.

Use:

  • addbut (1K) - to create a new record
  • fstbut (1K) - to view first record
  • lftbut (1K) - to view previous record
  • rgtbut (1K) - to view the next record
  • lstbut (1K) - to view the last record
  • trshbut (1K) - to delete the current record
  • edtbut (1K) - to add/edit artist/acquired from/genre/format types
  • All - to display all records

You can delete the entire database by selecting Delete All from the Options menu of this screen.

You can export the database to the Memo Pad application by selecting Export Memo from the Options menu of this screen.

You can beam your movie database to another PDA running Music Tracker by selecting Beam Databse from the Options menu of this screen.

The Enter Artists screen allows you to add/edit values you will use to show who recorded the music.

Use:

  • New - to add a new value
  • Edit - to change a value
  • Del - to delete a value
  • Sort - will sort the values in ascending order, tapping the sort a second time will sort the values in descending order
  • Up/Down - to move a value up or down in the list
  • Done - to return to the previous screen

Use:

  • New - to add a new value
  • Edit - to change a value
  • Del - to delete a value
  • Sort - will sort the values in ascending order, tapping the sort a second time will sort the values in descending order
  • Up/Down - to move a value up or down in the list
  • Done - to return to the previous screen
Enter Acquired From

The Enter Genre screen allows you to add/edit values you will use to categorize your music.

Use:

  • New - to add a new value
  • Edit - to change a value
  • Del - to delete a value
  • Sort - will sort the values in ascending order, tapping the sort a second time will sort the values in descending order
  • Up/Down - to move a value up or down in the list
  • Done - to return to the previous screen

The Enter Formats screen allows you to add/edit values you will use to show what format the music is in.

Use:

  • New - to add a new value
  • Edit - to change a value
  • Del - to delete a value
  • Sort - will sort the values in ascending order, tapping the sort a second time will sort the values in descending order
  • Up/Down - to move a value up or down in the list
  • Done - to return to the previous screen
