Installing:

Hotsync the Sledger Installer.prc file to your PDA.

You will see an icon called InstSLedg in the PDABruce category.

Select this icon to install and launch SLedger. Several files will be extracted from the archive and the archive will delete itself.

SLedger will automatically run once the installer has completed.

When you exit the program you will see the SLedger program icon.

Prior to installing

After installing

When you start SLedger for the first time an About screen appears. Once you register the product this screen will no longer show.

Some features are not available in the evaluation copy. You can only add 10 records to the data base and you cannot delete any of the data. All purge functions are locked up. You should be able to properly evaluate the program without these features being enabled.

The first screen that appears is the View All screen.

Select Add/Edit Items from the menu or the New button to add/edit enter a new transaction.

Select Accounts to add/edit account descriptions.

Select ReCalc to display the balance for the transactions being displayed in the list box.

Once you have some transactions entered they will display on this screen.

Select a transaction in the list to edit/delete the entry.

NOTE: You can sort the database in ascending or descending order. If you are sorting in ascending order you will have to re-sort each time you add a new item. The sort function is accessed from the Options menu of the Add/Edit screen.

The Add/Edit screen is where you enter your debits/credits transaction information.

Select the date from the standard Palm OS popup.

Select an account from the dropdown list box (these must previously be set up).

Select a category from the dropdown list box (these must previously be set up - use Categoris from the Options menu of this screen).

Enter the value of the transaction. If this was an expense enter it as a negative value (ex: -7.50). Tap the P button to pop-up an editor. Tap the C button to pop-up a calculator.

Optionally add a note to the record.

• > - to view the next record
• >| - to view the last record
• Del - to delete the current record
• All - to display all records
• P - to display pop-up editor
• C - to pop-up a calculator

The Enter Accounts screen allows you to add/edit and delete accounts.

• New - to add a new account
• Edit - to change an account
• Del - to delete an account
• Sort - will sort the accounts in ascending order, tapping the sort a second time will sort the accounts in descending order
• Up/Down - to move an account up or down in the list
• Done - to return to the previous screen

The Enter Categories screen allows you to add/edit values you will use for categorizing your entries.

• New - to add a new category value
• Edit - to change a category value
• Del - to delete a category value
• Sort - will sort the category values in ascending order, tapping the sort a second time will sort the category values in descending order
• Up/Down - to move a category value up or down in the list
• Done - to return to the previous screen
